The 3.0-liter M54 inline-six is modified with Shark Injector engine management software, an aFe Power air intake system, and AKG Motorsport motor mounts and transmission mounts. A carbon-fiber upper strut brace is also fitted, and maintenance in 2020 reportedly included an oil and filter change, addition of a magnetic drain plug, and replacement of the following components:
