This 1985 Pininfarina Spider Europa is one of a reported 186 examples imported to the US for the model year and is finished in silver over black. Power comes from a 2.0-liter DOHC inline-four paired with a five-speed manual transmission. An engine overhaul and clutch replacement were performed in 2018, and service in 2020 consisted of an oil and filter change, cooling system maintenance, and refurbishment of the front brake calipers.
The 1985.5 Spider Europa was the final iteration of the Pininfarina Azzurra, built for the US market from late 1982 through 1985 after Fiat discontinued the 124 Spider in North America. This example is finished in silver and features a hood covered in satin black vinyl with a matching stripe at the rear. Additional exterior details include a black soft top, chrome impact bumpers, dual side mirrors, Pininfarina badging, and a twin-outlet Ansa exhaust.
Eight-spoke Cromodora 14″ alloy wheels wear 195/65 BCT S600 tires, and stopping power is provided by four-wheel disc brakes.
The interior features seats upholstered in black with matching door panels and carpets. The dashboard is accented with a woodgrain fascia, and amenities include air conditioning, a digital clock, electric windows, an Alpine CD stereo with Bluetooth, and a locking storage compartment behind the front seats.
A three-spoke Luisi wood-rimmed steering wheel frames Veglia instrumentation that includes an 120-mph speedometer, a tachometer with a 5,500-rpm redline, and auxiliary gauges. Service notes from 2020 indicate the speedometer needs internal repairs, and the six-digit mechanical odometer shows 52k miles. The Carfax report notes a potential odometer rollback in 2019, and total mileage is unknown.
The 2.0L DOHC inline-four features Bosch fuel injection and was overhauled by European Exotic Center of Clearwater, Florida, in August 2018. A larger radiator has been fitted to the car and the stock radiator is included in the sale. The oil was changed in September 2020.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a five-speed manual transmission. The clutch was replaced in 2018 when the engine was refurbished.
