This 1961 International Harvester Scout 80 is finished in blue with a removable white hardtop over a black interior and is powered by a 152ci inline-four mated to a three-speed manual transmission and a twin-stick dual-range transfer case. It was originally delivered to Spokane, Washington and underwent a cosmetic and mechanical refurbishment prior to the seller’s acquisition earlier this year. It was originally delivered to Spokane, Washington and underwent a cosmetic and mechanical refurbishment prior to the seller’s acquisition earlier this year. Equipment includes a Warn overdrive unit, PerTronix ignition, white-finished 15” wagon wheels, and aftermarket gauges.
The body was removed from the frame and repainted its current shade of blue following rust repair on a rocker panel by Bryant’s Custom Rods in Marysville, Washington in May 2021. Exterior details include a removable white hardtop, sliding side windows, black-finished bumpers, a textured black bedliner, and a fold-down tailgate.
White-finished 15” wagon wheels wear Ironman All Country tires that were installed in June 2021, and the truck is equipped with manually-locking front hubs. A CPT Gold Series tie-rod and drag link assembly was fitted in July 2018 along with a shim kit and a steering bell boot kit.
The interior features a bench seat trimmed in black vinyl along with matching floors and a white dashboard.
A four-spoke steering wheel fronts an 80-mph speedometer and an Equus 10k-rpm tachometer. Aftermarket auxiliary gauges for oil pressure, coolant temperature, voltage, and fuel level have also been added to the dash. The five-digit odometer shows 77k miles.
The 152ci inline-four was rebuilt by The Binder Boneyard in Terrebonne, Oregon, and work included resurfacing the cylinder heads, re-grinding the crankshaft and camshaft, and replacement of the pistons, valve guides, bearings, and seals. PerTronix ignition has been added along with a Delco-Remy 12-volt generator.
Power is sent to the rear or all four wheels through a three-speed transmission with a Warn overdrive unit and a twin-stick two-speed transfer case.
A copy of the line setting ticket shows the vehicle was originally delivered to Spokane, Washington and lists the factory equipment.
