This 1977 International Harvester Scout II is a 4×4 example that was delivered new to Courtesy Motors in St. George, Utah, and was acquired by the seller in 2014. It is finished in orange over brown upholstery and is powered by a 345ci V8 paired with a four-speed manual transmission and a dual-range transfer case. Features include body-side graphics, a roof rack mounted on a white hardtop, power-assisted brakes, a roll bar, and an AM radio. Work performed under previous ownership is said to have included the installation of a Holley carburetor, PerTronix electronic ignition, and a plastic fuel tank, while more recent work reportedly included resurfacing the flywheel and replacing the clutch, clutch pressure plate, water pump, shocks, and exhaust.
The truck is finished in Fire Orange (3195) and features “feather design” body graphics along both flanks. Additional exterior equipment includes a removable white hardtop, a roof rack, chrome-finished bumpers, and dual side mirrors. A Courtesy Motors dealer badge is present on the tailgate, and the rear bumper was replaced under current ownership. The side graphics are cracked, and touch-up paintwork is noted by the seller.
Steel wheels are finished in white and wear BFGoodrich All-Terrain T/A tires. Maintenance carried out by the seller included the installation of replacement KYB shocks, and a 19-gallon plastic fuel tank was installed under previous ownership. Equipment includes manually locking front wheel hubs, 3.54:1 axles, and power-assisted front disc brakes and rear drums.
The cabin features body-color metal surfaces as well as seats upholstered in Tanbark vinyl with striped cloth seating surfaces. A roll bar was installed by the seller, and equipment includes a split front bench, a fold-forward rear bench, an AM radio, woodgrain trim, and air conditioning, the latter of which does not work. Two keys are included in the sale.
The three-spoke steering wheel frames a horizontal 100-mph speedometer and gauges for coolant temperature, oil pressure, battery charge, and fuel level. The five-digit odometer shows 36k miles.
The 345ci V8 is equipped with a Holley carburetor and a PerTronix electronic ignition system. The removed carburetor, air filter housing, and ignition components are said to be included in the sale. Recent work is said to have included an oil change and replacing the water pump and exhaust system.
Power is sent to the rear or all four wheels through a four-speed manual transmission and a dual-range transfer case. Work carried out by the seller reportedly included resurfacing the flywheel and replacing the clutch and clutch pressure plate.
